This is a picture book about the influence of the nuclear family on children. Excessive intervention during childhood can diminish a child's interest and enthusiasm for exploring new things. Over-interference by parents can deprive children of their freedom, much like animals confined in a zoo. They lack nothing, yet they are missing a certain degree of freedom.
